Neighbors of Millburn Short Hills, formerly known as Newcomers & Neighbors of Short Hills & Millburn, was originally founded in 1973*. We are a non-profit social club that is open to all residents of Short Hills and Millburn, no matter how long they have lived in the area.

The club, which is run by member volunteers, organizes activities for the whole family - adults and children alike. One of our organization's primary goals is to welcome those newly arrived in the area, to make sure they know they will be included here and will find friendship.

A vital portion of our club members continue to renew their memberships year after year, helping to build community and ensure newer residents optimize their experience here as quickly as possible. We seek to provide opportunities for residents, both new and longstanding, to socialize within the local neighborhood and offer members use of the listserv.

*Originally, all who lived in town for less than one year were invited to join, and membership was limited to three years. The Encore Club (then called Epilogue) began in 1977 for Newcomers club "graduates." The two clubs merged in 1989, forming the Newcomers/Encore Club of Short Hills and Millburn. We recently updated the name this year (2023) to reflect our current membership of all residents of MSH, established or new.
